How to prepare for a birth chart conversation

A simple way to organise your questions and expectations before a first conversation.

How to prepare for a birth chart conversation

Getting started

Start with your question

Write down the question that brought you here. It does not need to be broad or complicated. “What would I like to prioritise now?” or “Which recurring response would I like to understand?” can be enough. Rather than trying to resolve several areas at once, choose what feels most meaningful today.

Be clear about what you know

Your birth date, time and place may be relevant to chart work. If you do not know the time precisely, say so; an estimate does not need to be presented as a verified fact. Discussing which interpretations may be affected by uncertainty helps establish realistic expectations.

Keep your experience central

You do not have to agree with everything discussed through astrological symbols. Share what resonates with your experience and what does not. The conversation can be a place to ask yourself different questions, rather than a place where someone makes decisions for you.

Leave room afterwards

A brief note about one thought that stayed with you can connect the conversation with everyday life. You might choose to observe for a while instead of making a major decision immediately. Useful reflection is reflection that makes sense within your own circumstances.
